L4D servers, TeamSpeak, and server monitors

Flaming Loser has been generous enough to purchase a Left 4 Dead server for our enjoyment. Please read this thread for instructions on how to use it.

I have a backup server running at home full time as well. The load times will be slower on this server and you may experience a little more lag now and then, but it will guarantee you a dedicated server so you don't have to host the game yourself. If you follow the instructions mentioned above, this server will be used when the faster server is already in use.

Since Flaming Loser was kind enough to shell out over $100 out of his pocket for the server, please be kind enough to throw some cash his way. PayPal is a great thing. Admin rights for the server will only be given to those that make donations.

I set up a TeamSpeak server on my home server as well. It is currently only setup for 16 people, but I can change that if it actually gets some heavy use. Click on TeamSpeak in the main menu for more info.

You probably also noticed the server monitors on the left and right side. Pretty snazzy huh?

Site URL changed and IRC link added in main menu

The site's URL has changed from revellersofchaos.aowc.net to revellersofchaos.com to make things a little easier to remember. Now you just have to remember how to spell revellers! I was going to register roc.com and/or roc.net, but they are already taken. :-(

I have also added the IRC link in the main menu. Only members are able to see/access this link. Be sure to check it out.

When it comes to keeping up in the forums, the Recent Activity link in the main menu is your best friend! It shows the twenty most recent threads and sorts them in order of last post.
Revellers of Chaos gear, clothing and other merchandise, is now available via the Merchandise link in the main menu. Let me know if you have ideas for something else.

LAN Parties

So, we are looking to organize some LAN parties around Omaha. I had one in March, Vinie has one this weekend, and Steve is having one in May. We would like to make this a regular event, so that way no one person is stuck hosting a bunch of times, and everyone can have a chance to host and there is always something to look forward to. There is a thread in the forums. Read it over, and if you want to host, let me or Vinie know, or go ahead and set it up and post it.

I created a new theme for the site. It still needs some tweaking, but I like it. I'll be fine tuning the colors a bit then moving onto the banner and completely redoing the logo.

Roster page

New site functionality

You may have noticed the Members Only page has been replaced by Recent Activity. Since the forums only show the recent posts for the last three days, something else was needed for those that don't check as often. A module has been added in the Recent Activity page that shows the twenty most recent threads and sorts them by activity date. A Google module has also been added so you can search this site.
